About Kristie Salzer
Hello and welcome to my practice! I am a Registered, Licensed Dietitian with over 20 years of experience. I have a Master's of Science in Nutrition from the University of Central Oklahoma and an undergraduate degree from Randolph-Macon Woman's College.
Prior to relocating to Tampa, I worked in hospitals, outpatient eating disorder programs and physician's offices in Oklahoma City and Washington D.C. I then started my own practice in D.C., focusing much of my work on weight management, eating disorders, home health care, HIV/AIDS and oncology. In 1993, I moved to Tampa and began consulting with long-term care facilities, cancer treatment centers and community health groups. In the summer of 2007, I opened a private practice in Tampa with the hope of working with individuals (children, teens and adults) and groups to support their health and nutrition needs.
Besides helping people, another passion of mine is cooking, which has led to recipe development and food styling for a local magazine and community cookbooks. In addition, I completed my personal training in The Solution® Method, a brain-based training to decrease stress and increase internal balance. I loved it so much that I followed up with the professional certification so I could help bring these skills to my clients. For more information, please see "The Solution® Training" information under Services.
I enjoy getting to know each client who comes to see me and working with them to create a nutrition plan to meet their particular goals. As we all have different nutrition needs at each stage of our lives, I have created a menu of services to help you determine which will most support your needs. Join a nutrition or cooking class, come for an individual session, or start The Solution® Method training. Any way you choose to begin, you are on the path to enjoying a more healthful life!
I hope to meet you soon,
Kristie Salzer MS, RD, LD/N
